Tour Information
Schedule:
El Yunque Rainforest Tour departs daily year round except for Christmas,
since the forest is closed. Our first stop will be at "El Portal Visitor Center" at 9:00 am, when they're open. The pickup time for San Juan area is at 8:15am and for pick up for the East area; El
Conquistador Resort, Rio Mar Resort, Gran Melia Resort and St. Regis Bahia Beach Resort is at 8:30am. Tour Duration: 5-6 hours round trip.
What to Bring & Wear:
- Bring a change of cloth and towel just in case you want to swim in the waterfall. Wear
rubber soles hiking shoes or sneakers no flipflops; slippery and moist conditions exist on all Forest paths and
trails.
- A raincoat is appropriate especially in "El Yunque Rainforest", one of the wettest
places on Earth with an average of 200 inches of rain every year.
- Bottle water to stay
hydrated (we provide water, but be sure not to leave it on the bus when you go to the hiking trail).
- Bring a snack, hiking takes
a lot of energy.
Wearing
the right clothes will help make your outdoor experience enjoyable.
